AGE-BASED BOYS AND GRADE-BASED GIRLS DIVISIONS
WYSC's policy is that children should play within their default age or grade division. This policy is consistent with US Lacrosse's intent to create homogeneous levels of play within an age division. Exceptions to this policy are possible and will be considered on a case-by-case basis after consulting with the coaches and parents involved. All parents should register their child in their default age or grade division and then request a waiver after registering. If the waiver is granted, the change will be made internally.
LITTLE LAXERS & Boys 6U/Girls Grades K-2
Warrenton Youth Lacrosse League also offer a Little Laxers program for boys and girls. Little Laxers is a fun developmental clinic geared to the younger player (as young as 4) that meets for an hour, once a week in Fauquier. 6U and K-2 are team-oriented versions of lacrosse where the players wear full pads (boys) and goggles (girls). They are placed on teams and play games against other rec teams in the area. Little Laxer players wear mouthguards and use lacrosse sticks. Please contact the director if you would like some guidance in placing your child in either Little Laxers or Boys 6U or Girls K-2.
Boys 6U and Girls K-2 Teams have 1-2 weekday practices and will play games on weekends against other leagues teams. There is no score keeping
